They may not be by your side when you're going through hardships, but that's because you don't speak and approach. If you do, they'll be more likely to stand by your side, hear your ramblings, giving overflowing opinions/suggestions.

You know they are the ones that you can talk comfortably with without putting up a false front. They will never judge your mistakes, mind about your past, skeptical about your true self. You can laze comfortably with them in your old school red shorts, make funny videos in your own private space, tease at one another for their stupid word mistakes. You may get angry with certain overboard jokes and you're never gonna pretend you're okay. You voice it out, show it out. Clear the misunderstandings on the spot, because if it drags on. It's gonna be a potential hazard at the following mile of your friendship if more and more piles up.

You know they are the ones that have you've been through with for so many years, be it the times of trouble, escape, punishments. You're more likely to hold your smile or even a large grin with them by your side. Their consolations made you feel better somehow, even if there are no solutions to your problems. The very fact that you know there are people standing at the side of your line, you're more than happy.

You know they are the ones that are on the top of your friend's list in your heart but somehow they may not know because you do not voice out. You hesitate whether to give them a message, give them a nudge, all this is because you're afraid to disrupt their busy lifestyle. Somehow, it may translate as you do not care, you do not need them, you forgot them, you no longer find them important. But it's not true.

You know they are the ones you miss sometimes, you check out their profiles, think about the past, reminisce about all the things that you've done together and you're glad and satisfied that they're doing well. You secretly hope that they'll leave you a message, be it a forwarded one, just to let you know that actually they miss you too. You hope for things to be this way, but you never expect too much from it.

You know they are the ones you want to be with if you're on the death bed, having to stay still at that moment just to gaze truthfully into each other's eyes. But you tell them not to, because your heart turn sour every time they talk with a trembling voice and your heart aches with every drop they fall. All you want to, is to black out in that episode of laughter.

And that's what I term them as true friends. Cliche as it sounds but I did not dare to think what my life will be like if I did not know them.
